[5·18 Memorial Foundation] 5·18 Memorial Foundation – Digital Archive Cloud Environment Deployment and Operation
The 5·18 Memorial Foundation is a public organization established to uncover the historical truth of the May 18 Democratic Uprising in 1980 and to carry forward its spirit. The foundation collects and preserves a wide range of historical materials—including documents, photographs, videos, and testimonies—and provides them as educational and research resources both domestically and internationally. These records are at risk of deterioration or loss over time, making systematic digitization essential for their safe preservation and effective utilization. As a KT Cloud service partner, Solbox collaborated with archival technology specialist Pinnode Co., Ltd. to centralize, standardize, and systematize the foundation’s archives. The result is an online, cloud-based digital platform that allows the public to easily and quickly access the materials, while ensuring long-term preservation, enhanced accessibility, stronger security, and scalable infrastructure. Solbox provides both the cloud deployment and ongoing managed operation services.
